Dreamcatcher

This is a portrait of a fairly new character of mine. It started out as me trying to find a way to make an original barn owl type gryphon. Most of the barn owl gryphons I see on dA look very fairy-like and graceful. Sometimes even cute. I wanted to encompass all of that with my own creepy-ish twists. So now here we have Moonie, the creepy, mysterious, and possibly deranged gryphon. Here we see him showing off his extra legs and weird, moon-like orb. He is like Gollum and the Ring when it comes to that orb.

Ugh, lots of anatomy errors in this one. I guess thats fine, this was just a quick concept-sketch doodle. It actually came out pretty good, I am not accustomed to using watercolors.
